SLEEPING IN REPOSE

Alone in the journey of life....
Hard to contemplate..
Or decide...
Sometimes the emptiness within me..
Killing me......
Often turning me into a zombie..
I breathe too hard...
To fill in the gaping holes...
Within my soul....
Only to choke again...
Here again....
I wonder now..
IS this how God built mankind?
By turning a blind eye to your fellow members of human race?
How much is a hug or a kind word going to cost?
A small voice within me gives me the answer...
In times of bomb and merciless killings..
People are bound to ignore your sufferings..
Money is all they care about..
Negativity standing tall and stout..
The small voice within me says again...
There is a better place far beyond the horizon..
Beyond the horizon...
Where I can stand and stare...
Where I can sing and dance...
And sleep in repose....
Yes..Sleep in repose....

WAS THAT ME???

Whenever I hear cliched statements like...."You have got to discover your true talents" or "Unleash your true potential"..etc etc....I always feel it is almost always addressed to someone else......!!! I never looked at my inner self of the things I am actually capable of....It was always like I saw the writing on the wall...But I beleived it was always addressed to someone else....!!
I have a very strong penchant for reading...but its totally different when it comes to writing.....I mean..Yes...I have my own blog...but the language is casual..not intense..!!I definately beleived...I would never be able to write even a paragraph of poem...leave alone lyrics for an entire song!!
A strange incident happened a few days ago....
One of my community members(I have been blessed with super talented people in my community...A small group of 135 people...But the talent speaks more than figures!!) created a thread named as "Post your own lyrics..." I was amazed by the fact that..I could very well create an entire song for good rap work......After all..its true...You truly get amazed by your surroundings....And its true...You really have to unleash your true talents to discover them...
(This stuff is a little amateurish...But what the heck...I dont care:-)
BEYOND THE HORIZON
I scramble
I run..
I fall..
Damn..
This world is pushing me too far...
Pain within me is so deep....
I pull it out and hurt seeps...
I bleed away....
Emotions making me sway....
Hurling me in to the oblivion..
Making it impossible to reach the horizon..
It makes me scream..
It makes me shout...
It makes me wonder...
The reason for this anguish...
I think too hard..
I think too deep...
I think about the hypocrites..
Who fooled me with panache...
This world's filled with incomplete people..
People without heart...
People without Heart...
I think hard..
I think deep..
I scramble
I fall...
I run..
From this ugly goddamn place..
But realization dawns...
And I get lost somewhere in the hopes of a better day..
A better day...
A better day..
Somewhere beyond the horizon...
Far away.....

I have decided how I want to spend my oldage.....Yes....In my own library........filled with books and novels.....

"My shadow is the only one that walks beside me" is one of my favourite songs......Because the words used in this song are so true.....We come alone..and we leave alone....But in my case its a tad different.....Books have been my companion..and will always be my companion....There is a deep connection between me and novels to the extent that I cannot live with them...I get so absorbed in them that I forget the daily household chores as well....One thing is for sure....Friends entered my life....I welcomed them...They left my life without giving prior notice....I dint object....

But my books are here to stay with me forever. They entered my life..I did not welcome them.....Now if they leave me...Hell....I wont allow them...

NA AANE IS DESH LAADO.....

"Chori Janmi Chori.............Paar lagaa Do....Jeeyegi toh bojh ban ke....."says the promos of an upcoming TV programme in a popular channel.....Another programme demonstrates the marriage of a girl child and then snatching away the basic right of education from her.......I now wonder......Is this the country that is on its way of becoming a superpower? A country where such gruesome traditions are still followed....Does it make any sense to kill a new born child just because she belongs to the female gender? Unfortunate but true......These barbarities are still prevalent in many parts of remote India. This just proves that India is so backward in so many aspects....The only tonic which is going to cure India from these gruesome atrocities is education....Yes..It may sound clichéd...But a great grief resides in my heart...Even in the 21st century...One of the basic necessities of humans...i.e. education is still being deprived to so many sects of society....We are all so busy accumulating wealth and glorifying our resumes that we tend to overlook our nation as a whole. But a few initiatives like "The Teach India Movement" have to a very small extent tried India to make a better place to live in...There is only one small hitch...Let's educate the parents as well...not only the children...Only then wil India become a super power in its true sense...

Slumdog Millionaire

Yeah....yet another story which potrays Mumbai's indomitable spirit....The "NEVER SAY DIE SPIRIT".......Slumdog millionaire is about the story of a boy who transformed from "Rags to Riches"..Well...I read in the Economic Times about the fact that Slumdog Millionaire has won the Cadillac People's Choice award besides plenteous praise from the crustiest critics along with lots of acclaims especially from the white-skinned people. Also...most importantly..Slumdog Millionaire has done more for the bollywood idiom than any home grown film ever in living memory!!!! But the following fact takes the cake......Slumdog Millionaire is an Indian story told by a British director...and it has done as much for Mumbai, a city of explosive extremes by capturing life at its most elemental and spirited form....!!!!!......Yeah.....Like hell.....We needed a Britisher to make us realize what Mumbai is all about...We needed a Britisher who is cashing in all the success to make us realize and notice the so called.."NEVER SAY DIE SPIRIT"..of Mumbai........I say...to hell with Bollywood...Lets cash in on Black Friday instead.....sayonara...
